E46 Spec Class

The BMW Race Driver Series is proud to announce a significant multi-year tyre partnership with NEXEN Tyres and DTM Wheel & Tyre, heralding the start of an exciting and promising collaboration.

 

Under this agreement, the NEXEN SUR4G 225/45R17 will be the control tyre of choice for the BMW Race Driver Series E46 class, leading to the rebranding of the class as the NEXEN Tyre E46 class. This change highlights the importance of the alliance and the exceptional performance offered by NEXEN’s SUR4G tyres.
Notably, the NEXEN SUR4G also serves as the control tyre for both the Toyota 86 Championship and the Mazda Racing Series, further solidifying its reliability and outstanding performance.

 

Furthermore, DTM Wheel & Tyre has been appointed as the preferred dealership, catering to all wheel and tyre requirements for the series.

What began as a modest venture in Hamilton has grown into one of the country’s top three tyre and wheel distributors.

The BMW Race Driver Series, founded by a group of passionate enthusiasts in 2006, is now entering its 18th season and has gained significant popularity over the years. The introduction of the E46 class by the BMW Car Club NZ, officially launched in the 2020-2021 season, has witnessed remarkable growth, with an estimated minimum of 25 cars expected to join the grid in the upcoming season. This progress underscores the series’ unwavering commitment to providing thrilling racing experiences to both participants and spectators alike.
