Vehicles taking passengers require a basic Safety Audit before the first ride. This informal audit will not be recorded in logbooks and serves as training for new scrutineers.
  • Driver Requirements: Drivers must hold as a minimum either a NZ Civil (Restricted) driver’s licence, or a MotorSport NZ C Grade licence.
  • Additional drivers: are $40 and must be paid prior to the day.
  • Safety Apparel: Both drivers and passengers must wear a minimum of a single layer fire-retardant race suit, helmet, FHR, fire-retardant shoes, and fire-retardant gloves are compulsory. As notified previously, there is unlikely to be any hire gear available on the day.
  • Cancellation: If you can no longer attend, please inform us as soon as possible. We have five drivers on the waiting list ready to take your spot.
  • Group Adjustments: As the day progresses and competitors head home, groups may be reviewed and adjusted as needed. If you are leaving early, please notify the designated contact person (details to be provided on the day).
  • Schedule Awareness: The schedule may run ahead or behind, so please stay aware of which session is on track and be ready. When a session is nearing its end, please come in promptly and avoid lingering on the track; we aim to stay on schedule as much as possible.
  • Hot Laps: Those taking competitors for hot laps should drive at 70% race pace.
  • Passengers: must be briefed on basic safety procedures prior to the ride.

  • Food and Beverages: Carousel Catering and coffee will be available on-site; please support them.

Safety and Conduct:

This is a fun, non-competitive day. Please be mindful of those around you, especially our two Scholarship Cars, which will be marked with a big red “S” on the windscreen and rear window. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any inappropriate driving behaviour. Anyone not adhering to safety guidelines may be told to load their car on the trailer and go home.
