Getting Started
Whether you already have a BMW race car or you’re working towards your first race meeting, there are a few things you’ll need to have sorted before you line up on the grid.
Here’s how to get yourself sorted and on the grid with the BMW Race Driver Series.
Become a member of the BMW Car Club New Zealand to be eligible for the Series.
Apply for a MotorSport NZ C Grade Competition Licence so you can compete on track.
Check the regulations, car specifications and class requirements so you know which class your BMW fits into and what’s required before you register.
Complete your BMW Race Driver Series registration and driver profile for the season.
Submit your event entry, complete the required documentation and take your place on the grid. This is where it all comes together — race day!
If it’s a BMW, it’s more than likely eligible! There are some caveats though, so please be sure to check out the class regulations here .
We usually kick off in September, with a pre-season track day in August. The season can run as late as May.
Email us with your race number request, and we’ll see what’s available. We have three grids, so we try not to duplicate numbers.
