The BMW Race Driver Series is pleased to announce that we have partnered with neutral to offset the carbon footprint generated by our race series. Neutral (founded by series member John O’Leary) have created an initiative which offers everyone who is willing to participate, a plausible, practical and highly beneficial scientific solution to reduce our impact on the environment. All while still enjoying the practicality and fun an internal combustion engine vehicle provides.
If we plant an appropriate number of trees to offset the carbon our race cars produce, we will achieve a neutral effect. Based on neutral’s equation, the carbon produced by one BMW E46 race car can be offset each year by planting and maintaining just 18 native trees, costing only $20 per race meeting.
